Programme

Teaching:

Introductory courses, lectures and tutorials

• embedded in masters program
• accompanying SFB colloquium
• annual summer school (2 to 3 days) (internal and external lecturers), also includes tutorials on more general themes/soft skills

SFB internal PhD student exchange and networking program

• mutual group (lab) visits once per thesis for a week
• one-day meeting of all PhD-students twice per year (report on lab visits)

Research fellowship:

• for focused visits in related research groups outside of SFB/TR (2 to 3 months)

CO.CO.MAT. award:

for significant contribution in outstanding publication.

to be awarded every year for the best phd-thesis written within the SFB. The criteria for qualification are the quality of the thesis itself, the relevance of the work within the wider scientific community as well as the SFB and the number of existing publications on the topic.
